Benefits of Ceramic Abrasives

Long-lasting
Can last up to 6x longer than other abrasive grain types

Friable abrasive
Self-sharpening to continue working with consistent grinding and cutting

Low-pressure application
Does not require the operator to exert as much pressure as other abrasives due to unique sharpness and hardness of the grains

Low temperature
Generates much lower heat than the majority of the alternatives.
Properties of Ceramic Abrasives
Ceramic abrasives can be processed into balls, columns, sands, edges and other shapes. The micro-powder flake mullite balls formed by scientific processing with advanced technology have high aluminum content, very little glass phase, and 90% mullite phase above. Therefore, the Mohs hardness is high, the specific gravity is large, the surface is smooth, the wear is small, the crystallization is good, the elasticity is large, and the ball milling efficiency is high.
Zirconia grinding ceramic balls have the advantages of high density, high strength, good toughness, wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, high grinding efficiency, low noise, long service life, and no contamination of materials. It is a high-quality grinding medium suitable for various grinding machines.
Choosing the Right Grit Size for Ceramic Abrasives
The success of any sanding project largely depends on selecting the right grit size for the task at hand. Ceramic abrasives are available in a range of grit sizes, from coarse to fine, each suited to different stages of the sanding process:
Coarse Grits (P24 - P40)
Ideal for rough sanding jobs where you need to remove a lot of materials quickly. This could include stripping old coatings or varnish, levelling uneven floors, or preparing a new, unfinished floor for finishing.
Medium Grits (P60 - P80)
After the initial rough sanding, medium-grit ceramic abrasives are used to smooth out the surface. These grits are great for removing scratches left by the coarse grit and preparing the floor for the finishing stages.
Fine Grits (P100 - P120)
Fine grit abrasives are used for the final sanding stages to get a smooth, polished finish. This step ensures that the floor is perfectly smooth and ready for staining or sealing.
